Connie Funk, our Clinical Manager, has been a vital part of McCranels Orthodontics since 1999. Raised in West Palm Beach, she brings warmth, energy, and plenty of laughter to the office. Connie is passionate about providing exceptional care to our patients and finds joy in football, time with friends, and making memories with her husband Joe, their dog, and their two grown children.

Originally from Colombia, Maggie has been an Orthodontic Assistant at McCranels Orthodontics since 2005. Her energy and enthusiasm light up the office, and she’s known for making patients smile while keeping everything running smoothly. Maggie is married with three children, loves to travel, and enjoys sharing her passion for skincare with friends and family.

Originally from Belle Glade, Mathy is a proud South Floridian with a warm heart and a keen eye for detail. Her compassion and dedication make her an important part of each patient’s smile journey. Mathy finds joy in helping others build confidence through their smiles and takes pride in making every experience a positive one.

Born in Colombia and raised in Virginia, Giselle brings a warm, approachable energy to every patient interaction. Bilingual and experienced in the dental field, she joined our team to help guide new patients through their orthodontic journey. She is married to her soulmate and a proud mom of twin girls. Her outgoing nature makes her a favorite among patients and teammates alike.

Karen has been part of the McCranels Orthodontics team since 2010, serving as our insurance coordinator. With experience across several areas of dentistry, orthodontics remains her true passion. She loves watching patients grow in confidence through their smile journeys. Outside the office, she enjoys pet sitting and spending time with the furry friends she cares for.

With a background in early childhood education, Leti brings warmth, humor, and relatability to every patient interaction. She helps families feel confident and comfortable from the moment they walk through our doors. Her friendly voice and welcoming smile make her a comforting first point of contact for patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Born in Rhode Island and now a Florida resident for nearly 30 years, Heather has been a valued part of the McCranels team since 2018. She enjoys welcoming patients with warmth and guiding them through their orthodontic journey. A proud mom to a teenage son and the family dog, Heather loves spending time with loved ones, especially outdoors at the beach or by the pool.

Born in Guatemala and raised in South Florida, Emma joined the McCranels team in 2022 and quickly became an essential part of our reception team. Her attention to detail and warm personality help her connect with patients and their families right away. A proud mom of two boys, she enjoys dining out and spending quality time with loved ones.

Joann, wife of our founder Dr. Chum and mother to Dr. Scott, has been a cornerstone of McCranels Orthodontics for decades. Having held nearly every role in the office, she now serves as our bookkeeper and a steady support for the entire team. A former competitive cyclist and national champion, Joann also enjoys puzzles, reading, movies, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Tammy, Dr. Scott’s sister, has worn many hats at McCranels Orthodontics, from chairside assistant to Registered Dental Hygienist. She now manages inventory and supports public relations, often appearing as the “Tooth Fairy” to teach kids about dental hygiene. In her free time, she enjoys crossword puzzles, arts and crafts, church activities, and relaxing in the mountains of North Carolina.
