Connie
Clinical Director
At the helm of the fun and laughter in the office is Connie Funk, our Clinical Manager. Connie was raised in West Palm Beach, FL, has two adult children, a beautiful dog, and is married to her best friend "Joe." In her free time, she enjoys football, spending quality time with her husband and friends, and generally, just having a great time! She has worked for McCranels Orthodontics since 1999, and continues to be increasingly enthusiastic and passionate about the quality of care she provides to our wonderful patients.
Nikki
Administrative Director
Nikki has extensive experience in the field of orthodontics and joined our team over a year ago. Thriving on building good relationships with people has made her both an awesome team player and an integral part of kicking off the patient journey. As a Maine transplant, she's always on the search for the best lobster roll with her husband but is loving the warm South Florida sunshine to play golf year round. Nikki leads our treatment coordination, educating our patients on possible treatment options and financial arrangements. She is one of the first people our new patients meet!
Maggie
Orthodontic Assistant
Maggie is originally from Colombia and has been an Orthodontic Assistant at McCranels Orthodontics since 2005. She always brings the fun and says that this office is her paradise! Her enthusiasm is infectious and you can't help but get swept up in her positive energy. You'll always see her making patients laugh and diligently working to ensure our patients are seen on time and are happy with their experiences. She is married and has 3 wonderful children who she enjoys spending time with and her favorite pass times include traveling and sharing her love for skincare with friends and family.
Karen
Insurance Coordinator
Karen joined our team in 2010, serving as the insurance coordinator. She has worked in multiple areas of the dental field since graduating from college, however her 1st love is Orthodontics. She enjoys seeing patients lives change and their confidence increased. Her other love is pet sitting, which gives her the opportunity to care for and play with many precious critters!
Emma
Receptionist
Emma was born in Guatemala and moved to South Florida as a child. She joined the McCranels team in 2022. She is a loving mother to 2 boys, born and raised here. Her attention to detail and organizational skills have made her an asset to our Reception team. Her ability to familiarize herself with our patients and their families immediately is her superpower. Outside of the office she loves going out to eat and spending time with family and friends.
Trish
Orthodontic Assistant
As a lifelong Palm Beach County local, Trish knows the area and the South Florida culture like the back of her hand. From the moment she found us at McCranels Orthodontics, her warm voice and calm demeanor have been a great addition to our clinic. With a sweet smile and a voice that relaxes our patients, it's always a joy to see how well she takes care of our patients of all ages.
Joann
Office Manager
Joann is the wife of our founder, Dr. Chum, and Dr. Scott’s mother. She started with Dr. Chum years ago and has held every position in the office. She has served as the receptionist, chair-side assistant and bookkeeper to name just a few. Presently Joann is our bookkeeper and cares for all the staff. She has been a competitive cyclist and won a National title. Joann enjoys Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles, reading, going to the movies and being there for her grandchildren.
Tammy
Public Relations Manager
Tammy is Dr. Scott’s sister. She started as a chairside assistant years ago, then became a Registered Dental Hygienist and is currently inventory manager and helps with PR. Tammy also appears as the “Tooth Fairy” and shares dental hygiene advice with young children. In her free time, she enjoys crossword puzzles, arts and crafts, helping at church and spending time in the western mountains of North Carolina.
Leti
Receptionist
With a background in early childhood education, Leti is the perfect addition to our team when it comes to making our patients and their families feel confident that they've made the right choice in choosing McCranels Orthodontics. Her sense of humor and ability to relate to anyone creates an atmosphere where all patients - big and small, young or seasoned, and from all backrgounds feel comfortable in her presence. Her friendly voice is one of the first you'll be hearing when you call our office and her beautiful smile is one of the first you'll see when you come in.
Mathy
Orthodontic Assistant
Originally from Belle Glade, Mathy is a true South Floridian. Her sense of compassion and kind disposition have made her a crucial part of the patient experience. With a keen eye for symmetry, Mathy prides herself in helping our patients achieve the smile of their dreams. Having a big heart and a beautiful smile to match, she recognizes that improving patients' smiles is a confidence boost and truly loves being a part of that journey.
Giselle
Assistant Treatment Coordinator
Born in Colombia and raised in Virginia, Giselle is bilingual and has a very well rounded view of the world which helps her to relate to patients from a variety of backgrounds. After 5 years in the dental field, she joined our practice to apply the skills she's learned and is excited to be part of a stellar team she can count on. Giselle is married to her soulmate and is the proud mother to twin girls. Our team describes her as very outgoing and approachable. New Patients will meet her during their initial exam where she'll review treatment planning, financials and future scheduling.
