A Team That Cares

We’ve Adopted a Highway!

We’re not your average orthodontists, and 3201 South Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, FL isn’t just our address – it’s our home. Beyond a mere geographical pointer; the orange building on Dixie is a reflection of our commitment and devotion that we take pride in, which is why we make sure that we take care of our stretch of highway by rolling up our sleeves and cleaning the area as thoroughly as possible every quarter. We treat S. Dixie Highway like we would treat our own homes, so we invite you to help us by keeping the garbage where it belongs – in the trash!

Attention Palm Beach County Students and Teachers:

We are also very proud to be a part of the Adopt-a-Class programs at many area schools in West Palm Beach and its surrounding communities. The time and money that we donate enhances the education that is available right here in our community because we know that educating our children is important for our future and theirs. Ask us how you can be a part of this great cause as well!

February is National Dental Health Month.

Dr. Scott and Dr. Alvarez are both available to speak to classes in and around West Palm Beach about the benefits of good oral hygiene and dental care. Lectures are usually in February, but arrangements can be made to have us come to your school anytime during the school year. We also have classes that take field trips to visit our orthodontic office in person. Please feel free to call 561.655.6308 for arrangements.

Surfing Equipment Repairs

Surfing Florida Museum (SFM)

Dr. Scott has been surfing since he was about 3 years old so naturally, you would expect him to be on the Board of The Surfing Florida Museum. One of our favorite fun facts about the practice is that both Dr. Scott and his father (our founder) Dr. Chum were inducted into the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame. When you visit our office you'll notice the whole story on display in our reception area!

Much like his father before him, Dr. Scott is passionate about conserving our local surfing history and promoting the culture to ensure that the local surfing community is celebrated and has the opportunity to continue growing.

The Surfing Florida Museum has been in multiple locations around Palm Beach County over the years including West Palm Beach, Lake Park and most recently Delray Beach. The museum's collection started around 2008 and has been in over 15 exhibitions since with the next one set to be displayed at the Elliott Museum on Hutchinson Island in 2024.

YMCA of The Palm Beaches!

Dr. Scott is a proud member of the YMCA Board of the Palm Beaches and has been since 1998. As a firm believer in fitness bettering overall health, Dr. Scott invites you to consider a membership with our local YMCA so that you can take advantage of all of the incredible programs and facilities they have to offer. With Wellness Centers located in Palm Beach Gardens and Lake Worth, an Aquatic Center and the Fountains Country Club Recreation Center - our local YMCA has something for everyone!

Dr. Scott's main interest was originally the Skatepark at the YMCA because on top of being a professional surfer, he was also a sponsored skateboarder who was inducted into the Florida Skateboard Hall of Fame! As if that and joining his father in the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame weren't enough, Dr. Scott also plays a very active role in helping to plan, execute and promote charity events that help support the YMCA such as Golf Tournaments and he loves to takes advantage of the opportunities to donate his time to the less fortunate during the holidays serving lunch side by side with his staff at the Y.

Please check out the YMCA of The Palm Beaches main campus on Congress Ave. just south of Forest Hill and see what it can offer you and your family. We encourage you to also visit their website to learn more about their programs and facilities:

The Tooth Fairy Loves to Show Up!

Dr. Scott and Dr. Alvarez happen to know the Tooth Fairy very well and they love to show her off at local schools!

In February, she joins Dr. Scott and Dr. Alvarez in visiting local schools for National Dental Health Month. They work together to teach kids about the importance of keeping their teeth clean and healthy, so they won't have to worry about leaving any decayed teeth under their pillows.
Pro Tip: We're pretty sure you don't get paid for cavities!

If you ever see her flying around the office, make sure to say hi... She pops in and out quite a bit.

Who knows – maybe we can convince her to show up when they come to visit your kid's class! It's definitely one of those experiences they are sure to come home raving about.
